Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman has a rich family business history in the field of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing & Distribution of over 50 years. Presently, he is Board Member, Former Chairman of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited and Chief Executive of Popular Chemical Works (Pvt.) Ltd., a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Unit. Popular Chemical Works (Pvt.) Ltd. has business collaborations with RottaPharm, Milan, Italy and Servier Research and Pharmaceuticals, Gidy, France. Mian Misbah-ur- Rehman’s other business concerns include Crystalline Ampoule Works (Pvt.) Ltd. – a fully automated Glass Ampoule Manufacturing Unit, Pharmasales International (Pvt.) Ltd. – involved in the Distribution and Marketing of Medicines and Nazir Zarai Farms – involved in Farming & Orchards.

Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman has served as: Chairman of Lahore Gymkhana Club in 1997, 2008, 2010, 2014, 2015 & 2016 Member Managing Committee of The Federation of Pakistan

Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) in 2001-2002, 2005-2006 & 2007-2008, Member Executive Committee of The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) in 1983-1986 & 2003-2006, ‘Vice-President of LCCI in 1985-1986, Senior Vice- President of LCCI in 2003-2004, President of LCCI in 2004-2005, Chairman of Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA) in 1999-2000 and Managing Committee Member of Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) for many years. An active Ravian, he is a member of the Executive Committee of “Endowment Trust Fund” of Government College University (GCU). He has also been a leading member of Civil Defense Organization for over two decades and is currently serving as Deputy Chief Warden, Civil Defense Organization, Lahore. Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman has been managing and patronizing an orphanage and educational institution (Anjuman-e- Taleem-ul-Furqan) for the past 25 years. He has always actively promoted and supported Shalimar Hospital & Hijaz Hospital, both providing healthcare to poor and needy patients. It is a tribute to his honesty, commitment, principals and leadership qualities that he has always enjoyed a high level of success in such diverse organizations.

His peers identify his humanity and unifying personality as the reasons behind his continuous success. During his tenures as office-bearer of LCCI, he and his colleagues were instrumental in bringing LCCI to the fore-front of all Chambers in Pakistan as well as initiating and establishing the “LCCI Business Performance Awards,” a tribute to the business community. He was also responsible for raising the importance of labour-relations and government-private sector participation in the development and prosperity of the country. In both his private and public life, he continues to display a strong and active support for the welfare of the underprivileged and improvement of the working class.
